Joan Dzuro is the president and CEO of Dzuro and Associates, a firm specializing in Human Resource consulting.

Joan has been a generalist during her over 30 year Human Resource career and understands both the union and non-union environments.   She has worked in aerospace, oil, newspaper publishing, manufacturing, high-tech, insurance and medical industries in her career. 

Joan has taught Human Resource programs for over 5 years at both California Lutheran University (her alma mater) and also at Cal State Northridge (CSUN). 

Joan was instrumental in helping start the National Human Resource Association’s Ventura County Chapter in 1981.  She served over 20 years on their Board of Directors and served as President of the Ventura County Chapter as well.  She also served as Conference Chair when NHRA had their annual nationwide conference in San Diego California . Joan has served as a Rotarian, and Rotary President, a member of several Boards including the Ventura County Interfaces committee of Coalition Against Domestic Abuse.  She currently is trained and serving as a tutor in the Ventura County Adult Literacy program.

She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (since 1985), has been a member of PIHRA, District 9  and the Senior HR Forum. 

Since founded the company has assisted companies train newly promoted HR professionals, create and maintain HR departments, train their management team on various aspects of effective management skills, conducted HR audits, updated policy manuals, handbooks, and safety manuals, to name a few items.
